I mentioned this band earlier. It's hard to say just how incredible they are, because there is nothing contemporary to compare them to. Here is what I know of the band, they were inline to become the most powerful modern christian group in ages. Although they never officially wanted to be a branded band like Petra, their lyrics were definitely inspired by a certain spiritual drive. Their third album, "Faith, Hope, Love" was definitely a tribute in name and tone to a better place to be than the cynical decade it was framed in. When the lead singer/bassist came out as being gay, they were shunned by the same publications that had previously labeled them as heroes.
So anyway, that's all interesting and whatnot, but that's not what I was talking about. When you have fans that can do this, you have arrived as a band. Like every person my age, I've always wanted to be "in the band". This, my friends, is the pinnacle of achievement for any band.
Watch it, embedding has been disabled, but follow this link, you owe it to yourself:
Goldilocks - As the crowd sings it
Watch as the guys who wrote the song sit there and play their instruments, and listen to the crowd. That is music.
